Unions
Agree to Wage Freeze
...................................................................... An
alliance of New Jersey construction unions along
with their contractor partners have agreed to a
freeze in wages and benefits by voluntarily
re-opening their contracts. This move is designed
to lower labor costs and kick-start construction
throughout the state. The alliance
includes 30,000 union members and contractors
affiliated with the Bricklayers, Carpenters,
Dockbuilders, Ironworkers, and Laborers. The
freeze represents reductions ranging from 3 - 5.2%
and will carry through mid
2011. |

Beneficial Bank Unveils New Retail
Banking Concept

Bank opened two new, education-themed retail bank
locations in Cherry Hill, NJ and donated $20,000
to support financial education in the Cherry Hill
Public Schools. The two new, modern bank locations
are designed to be community and learning hubs.
They are located at 818 Haddonfield Road and Route
70 at Springdale Road in Cherry Hill.
"Our two new campuses in Cherry Hill are a
representation of Beneficial's education

banks to become the blueprint for the next

Light Rail Projects Cited by Delaware Valley
Regional Planning Commission AS "Regional
Transportation Program of the
Year"

Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
honored DRPA/PATCO with its 9th annual "Regional
Transportation Program of the Year" award. The
award was presented at the DVRPC's Annual
Celebration of Regional Excellence on May 20th. It
recognized the efforts by DRPA and PATCO To
develop two regional light rail services in
Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. One system
would enhance the connection between Center City
Philadelphia with the Delaware River Waterfront
while the other would provide service between
Glassboro and Camden in Southern New
Jersey. |

Richter, Chairman and CEO, has been named to the
New Jersey Business Hall of Fame. Richter was one
